Week 2 - Sounds Like My Work Is Done!

Hallo Family!!!!!!
How are you guys??? I loved seeing you in the broadcast but that night was probably the hardest of them all. I just kept thinking about how that was the for sure last time I would see you guys for a year and a half. BUT it was totally worth it. Everyone in my zone is jealous. As they should be. Haha you are probably wondering why my letter is tilted what it is, It's because the broadcast was mainly focused on the work of the members and how they can help the missionaries...So my work isn't really done haha I just wanted to be funny. What did you guys think of the broadcast??

Nothing new here at the MTC! Honestly, it is the same thing almost everyday. It is fun but kinda exhausting. Oh well! All is well when doing the Lord's work. So ya...that is about it. We will get a "new" investigator tomorrow, which will be one of our teachers! Their names are Broeder Mohrman and Broeder Robinson (who was our previous investigator). Love them to death and have learned SO much from each of them. The language is still hard but I feel a lot more confident. We just SYL all the time....or try to. Sometimes we forget and get frustrated.

They other day I got four DearElders, which is the best feeling ever!!! I love reading them and telling the people in the zone about how funny you guys are. I love you. haha Will you please send pictures so I can show off my awesome family??

YAY to Lauren for getting the job at Zupas!!! HOW IS IT?? I'm so proud of you! I want to hear all about it.

I hope you guys have fun at girls camp. Mom, I like getting DearElders so that way I can read them and be ready to reply on P-days...Which are pretty much Pant-days. We have from 8:15-2:45 to do whatever we wantish, haha but we wake up early to do laundry...We probably will stop doing that because we just end up taking an hour and a half nap during the day...haha We are weird. But feel free to email me during girls camp so I can get the awesome details while you still remember them!

Haha I love the random email I got from mom talking about her weird freezer food and the veggies she has picked from her garden. By far one of the funniest letters I have received yet. It's like you actually want me to hear about the small but awesome parts in life that I miss so much. So thank you for that!!! (: Love you!

So yeah, Sorry I don't have much to say, I'm sorry. I love you guys a ton!!!!!!! And Miss you a ton!!! I can't believe that Kristy has been out for nearly six months already. That kinda flew by.

Happy early Birthday to TAS and to any one's birthday that I am forgetting! I hope I didn't forget anything. Days are like Weeks and Weeks are like Days. It's sooooo weird how time is here. There is no way to explain it and I have never felt it before. It's the Lord's work y'all. It's true and I love it.

Please Write Me Whenever You Aren't Doing Anything.

I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH AND MISS YOU!!!

Week 1 - Magic Tuesday

Dear Family and Friends,

Hey family and friends!! I hope all is going well at home! I miss you all very much but I love it here at the MTC. How is everyone doing??

A couple things before I start, Thank you for the Dear Elders, they literally make my day so keep doing that! Also, there is a broadcast that is being sent out to all of the world happening on Sunday (the 23rd). My companion and I are going to be in the choir SO if you can, get tickets to it! It's at the Marriott center I think at like 4:00 p.m. It will also be on TV...I think. I'm so excited for that.

Lauren and Tyler! WRITE ME YOU POOPS....haha.....Steph, I love the letter that you sent. I look forward to more! If you and Lauren could get like a small photo album of pictures together for me, that would be great! Pictures of family, friends and whatever i guess! I do want that picture of my roommates and me after I opened my call.

Okay, now where to begin? They really do get you going right off the bat. We went to an orientation and then to the classroom where we learned dutch...Yay. I am not the best at the language but I'm trying my hardest. My companion is awesome! I love her and all that she does. Her name is Zuster Heilner and she is from Texas. She took German before so she is doing very good with the language. My zone is also wayyyy cool. The Elders are so much fun to hang out with and the Zusters are soooo nice. I am super blessed!

My Companion, Zuster Heilner

On Friday we taught our first "investigator" in Dutch. His name is Robert. That was hard but sooo awesome. The gift of tongues is so real. I understood almost everything that was said. The second lesson, on Saturday, was not that good....I didn't understand a word that was said...I cried after that. I felt bad for my collage (companion) because I didn't know how to say what I wanted to say...but the third lesson which was on Monday went really well!! I didn't understand as much as the first lesson but I wasn't completely lost. Pray for me to get the language please.

Sunday is officially my favorite day, other than P-days. It is soo full of the spirit and love that I don't want the day to end! Oh by the way Elder Nate Church, Elder Packer, Zuster Thorley, Zuster Clements, and Zuster Woodbary are all in my zone. Pleasant Grove and Lindon are taking over the world haha. My companion and I are like best friends with Elder Pulsiphor and Elder Dom. They are hilarious and keep us entertained during meal time.

The Sisters in my District

The Elders in my District

My comp and I got up at 5:00 a.m. today (Tuesday) to get our laundry done, and I'm sooo glad that we did that. Who knew  I could wake up that early eh? Haha...I got to poop in a cup today...haha. Hence the name Magic Tuesday. They also drew some blood to test things out! It was super interesting...not sure how I to explain it but we pooped in a cup and then had this scooper thing and then we mixed the poop with this preservative.

I'm not really sure what else to tell you all... The food is decent.. and the sleep is okay! I love the spirit that is here! Sometimes I get really discouraged because I want to be the best but I know that I can't and that is not what matters. It matters that I am trying my best to love the Lord and do His will.
Sorry this is a super boring letter. I hope to have something exciting to say next week! I love you guys and I'm so glad to be out here! I pray for you everyday! I am going to try to send some pictures but we will see how that works. Love you all and miss you!

Ik houdt van u. ( I am pretty sure that is I love you in dutch)
